Bennett, Decatur baseball called for darkness in 10th inning
SALISBURY, Md.- It’s the game that never ended… or is still going on, depending on how you look at it.
Stephen Decatur and James M. Bennett baseball was called on Thursday night for darkness. The game will be picked up at a later date in the top of the 10th inning, with the score tied at 1-1.
In a pitchers duel, starters Aaron Combs (Bennett) of Bennett and Hayden Snelsire (Decatur) put up monster stat lines. Combs went 5.2 innings, allowing two hits, one run and striking out 10. For Snelsire, he also went 5.2 innings, striking out eight and allowing seven hits.
The Seahawks offense struck first on an RBI double from Ridge Watson that scored Brett Berquist. The Clippers would have the answer in the bottom of the 6th on an Anders Brown RBI single to score Max Taylor.
