Voluntary evacuation issued for Smith Island

SOMERSET CO., Md. – There will be a voluntary evacuation of Smith Island on Friday afternoon.

Natural Resources Police will be at County Dock in Ewell at 2 p.m., and at Tylerton at 2:30 p.m. for anyone who wishes to leave.
