Boil water notice issued in Crisfield

CRISFIELD, Md. – The City of Crisfield has issued a boil water notice.

The advisory is due to a loss of water pressure that increases the risk of contamination in the water distribution system.

All water used for consumption must be boiled first; residents should not drink the water without boiling it first. Water may be used for bathing and washing. Water consumed should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute and then cooled before using.

This advisory will be lifted after testing confirms there is no bacterial contamination.
