12-year-old arrested for murder of toddler in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – A death investigation of a toddler has resulted in the arrest of a 12-year-old in Salisbury.

The investigation began on Saturday when deputies were called to Jack Drive for the reported death of a 2-year-old. Detectives with the Wicomico County Child Advocacy Center responded to investigate, speaking with the caregivers regarding the incident. As a result, charges were issued for a 12-year-old child, who lives in the same home, for the death of the toddler.

The 12-year-old was arrested and charged with first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault, and reckless endangerment. We’re told the juvenile is being held at the Lower Eastern Shore Children’s Center.
