Early morning house fire in Millville under investigation

MILLVILLE, Del. – An investigation is underway following an early morning house fire in Millville.

Firefighters responded to the 32000 block of Roxana Road at around 4:45 a.m. We’re told crews with the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company, Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department, Frankford Volunteer Fire Company, and Roxana Volunteer Fire Company worked to control the blaze in approximately 30 minutes.

All occupants were able to escape uninjured, however, several family pets reportedly died in the fire.

The Delaware State Fire Marshals Office is investigating the fire. The family is being assisted by the Red Cross.
