Good Morning Delmarva Discusses the Virginia Space Flight Academy

47ABC – The Virginia Space Flight Academy has been empowering the youth and equipping them with the skills to become future leaders in STEM for 25 years now.

Recently, they were awarded the Spirit of Virginia Award from the state’s 1st lady for their dedication to increasing diverse students’ interest in stem careers and pathways.

The non-profit organization hosts a space adventure camp and STEM academy to provide students with fun and unique learning experiences each year.

Partnering with Nasa Wallops, they’ve been able to show space adventure camp students behind the scenes of the Rocket Lab and aerospace facilities on Wallops Island, design and build rockets, focus on coding and robotic engineering.
