Snow Hill Road resurfacing project expected to cause delays starting Tuesday
WICOMICO CO., Md. – Resurfacing is planned for Maryland 12 (Snow Hill Road) starting Tuesday. The paving project will be between Airport Road and the Worcester County line.
The Maryland State Highway Administration says the project should be complete by mid-October, weather permitting. Motorists can expect single-lane closures during the project. Crews will be working Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM.
Officials say drivers should expect major traffic impacts with significant delays during work hours. The SHA says it understands that roadwork will inconvenience travelers and asks all motorists to please stay alert and be patient as you pass through the work zone. Hot asphalt may require up to two hours to cool before drivers and pedestrians can safely cross the new road surface. Motorcyclist are urged to be aware of uneven pavement surface during the project.
