Horizons Delmarva on Good Morning Delmarva

47ABC – Recently Horizons Delmarva and Wor-Wic Community College partnered to provide lower-income public school students with a summer learning program to expand their academic experience.

Joe Laque, The Executive Director of Horizons Delmarva, stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to share more about the program, it’s success this summer, and what it was like to partner with Wor-Wic to provide this unique opportunity.

He says that lower-income students who don’t have access to other summer activities and learning opportunities tend to lose a portion of what they learned during the school.

The summer program not only helps them retain what they’ve learned in school but prepares them for the following year.
