Car show coming to Smyrna for kidney disease awareness

DELAWARE.- A Delaware man is trying to raise awareness about kidney disease by hosting a car show.

Brandon Warncke, of Dover, was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2016 and began dialysis in 2021. He will be hosting the car, truck and bike show in September, in an effort to bring the community together and shed a light on a disease that affects an estimated 37 million Americans.

“Kidney disease, believe it or not, has been updated to be the number nine killer,” Warncke said. “It’s not very talked about, like cancer, but I feel as if people need to have a better understanding.”

The car show will be held on September 24th from 10a.m. to 3p.m. at Pit Daddys BBQ in Smyrna.
