Local veteran gets new flag

WEST OCEAN CITY, Md. – Recent storms destroyed a Marine Corps flag that 97-year-old veteran Stuart Smith was flying at his home, so the First State Detachment of the Marine Corps League came to Smith’s home and replaced that flag.

Smith served in Korea and received a purple heart for his service.
