Dover woman arrested for attempted robbery at bank ATM
DOVER, Del. – A Dover woman was arrested following an attempted robbery investigation.
Officers responded to the WSFS Bank, located at 1486 Forrest Avenue, just after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. The victim told police that while he was getting money from the ATM, he was approached by a woman that said she had a gun and demanded the victim turn over money. The victim drove away without giving the woman any property, and the suspect fled.
Detectives were able to obtain a photo of the suspect, and shortly after 1 p.m., an officer observed a woman matching the suspect description in the 1100 block of Forrest Avenue. The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Chanade Dohman, was taken into custody and charged with first degree attempted robbery.
She was later released on a $30,000 unsecured bail.
