Shooting claims life of Easton man, police investigating

EASTON, Md. – Police are investigating after an Easton man was reportedly shot and killed Monday evening.

Officers responded to the area of 104 Blake Street at around 7 p.m. for a report of a person who had just been shot and was lying in the grass. Aid was rendered by officers until paramedics arrived at the scene, however, the victim, 55-year-old Ty Brooks, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further investigation revealed that Brooks had an argument with several subjects on the street, at which time shots were fired. Witnesses reported seeing a white SUV flee the scene with several male occupants.
