Homicide investigation underway in Salisbury following late night shooting

SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury Police are searching for a suspect following a late-night murder.

Shortly before 10 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the Pemberton Manor apartment complex for a reported shooting. Officers arrived at the scene to find the victim lying on the ground in front of the apartment complex, suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as 34-year-old Keith Chaney, was taken to TidalHealth where he was later pronounced dead.

A suspect description is unknown at this time. Investigators have been interviewing witnesses and residents in the area and are asking anyone with information on this homicide to contact Maryland State Police at 443-366-5072.
