Two arrested following drug investigation in Milford
MILFORD, Del. – A drug investigation led to two arrests on Thursday in the Milford area.
The Milford Police Department Drug Unit was working on an investigation Thursday when they observed several hand to hand transactions from a vehicle in the 500 Block of Truitt Avenue.
On contact with the vehicle and its occupants it was discovered that the front seat passenger, identified as 38-year-old Larry Brown, was in possession of crack cocaine. Police say Brown also had other active warrants and capiases for his arrest, and the rear passenger, identified as Anthony Rayne, had an active capias out of Sussex County.
Brown was charged with manufactures, delivers, or possesses with intent to manufacture, deliver a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also wanted on assault and offensive touching charges out of Delaware State Police Troop 3. He was released on $2,700 unsecured bail on the drug charges but was committed on $7,500 cash bail and $21,300 secured bail on one of the DSP warrants and court capiases.
Rayne was released on $211 unsecured bail on his court capias and was ordered to return for a hearing at a later date.
