House fire in Easton claims the life of one
EASTON, Md. – An investigation is underway after a morning house fire in Easton resulted in the death of one.
Officials say the fire broke out at a single family home at 28590 Ninth Drive, and was reported by a neighbor at around 8:25 a.m. The Easton Fire Department along with other nearby companies responded to the fire, which took approximately ten minutes to control.
The victim was reportedly located in the kitchen. We’re told the victim will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for identification and an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Deputy State Fire Marshals are working to determine to cause and origin of the fire.
