Dover Police investigating late-night business burglary

DOVER, Del. – Police are investigating a burglary of a cosmetics store that took place late Monday night.

Just after 11 p.m., officers responded to Merle Norman Cosmetics, located at 1030 Forrest Avenue in the Gateway West Shopping Center. On arrival, they discovered that an unknown suspect broke the glass on the front door and to the side of the door in order to gain entry. The suspect then stole an unknown amount of cash from the register and ransacked the back office and break room before fleeing the scene.
