Frankford man arrested for stabbing woman

FRANKFORD, Del. – A Frankford man is behind bars following a stabbing Thursday afternoon.

At around 4:45 p.m., troopers responded to a residence in the 34000 block of Shockley Town Road for a reported stabbing. It was learned that a man, identified as 83-year-old Brooks Garrison, threatened to kill a relative before stabbing her multiple times with a knife. He then fled in his car.

A short time later, Garrison reportedly called 911 to turn himself in.

The victim was treated and released from an area hospital for serious injuries.

Garrison was charged with first degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon, and terroristic threatening, all felonies. He was held at SCI on a $102,000 cash bond.
