Local baseball player drafted by MLB

MARYLAND – The dreams of a local family on Delmarva came true on Tuesday night when the Tampa Bay Rays drafted Hayden Snelsire in the 17th round of the annual Major League Baseball Draft.

The Snelsires have lived in Ocean Pines for 17 years. Hayden was a star on Berlin Little League All Star teams for almost a decade, while his dad Eric was a league coach and past vice president of the team, and his mom Jocelyn was also heavily involved in the league.
