Georgetown man sentenced for threatening man with shotgun

GEORGETOWN, Del. – A Georgetown man was sentenced last week to eight years in prison after he reportedly threatened a man with a gun following an altercation.

In July 2018, 56-year-old Leerons Saab and another man became involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical, leading Saab to retrieve a shotgun from his home. He then fired one shot into the air and pointed the gun at the victim.

Saab pled guilty to aggravated menacing and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Due to previous felony convictions on assault charges, Saab was sentenced to eight years in prison, to be followed by 18 months of probation.
