Gold Alert issued for missing Wesley College student

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police have issued a Gold Alert for a missing Wesley College student.

21-year-old Erick Acavedo-Palencia was last seen leaving the Malmberg Hall dorm at Wesley College at around 6:20 PM on Tuesday, February 12th. Surveillance footage shows him leaving the dorm and walking towards the nearby intersection of Division Street and Bradford Street.

Acevedo-Palencia is approximately 6’2″, 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black athletic-type pants with a white stripe, and white sneakers. Investigation has revealed that Acavedo-Palencia made statements to others that are cause for concern for his health and safety.

Police say he has a residence in Wilmington, Delaware as well.
