Laurel man arrested on drug charges following domestic incident
SEAFORD, Del. – A Laurel man is behind bars after a domestic incident led to the discovery of drugs early Thursday morning.
Just after midnight, officers responded to the Sunrise Motel for a reported domestic situation. Officers arrived at the scene and learned that the suspect, 30-year-old Marcos Ortiz-Bedolla, was banging on a female’s room door. It was further discovered that he had a breach of release capias for a person prohibited from possessing a firearm, and had several recent incidents involving unwanted violent and harassing behavior toward his ex-girlfriend.
A search of his person and vehicle led to the recovery of 3.4 grams of crack cocaine, 89 bags of heroin, 10.4 grams of marijuana, a scale, and $6,828 in suspected drug money. Ortiz-Bedolla was charged with stalking, three counts of possession with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine in a tier 1 quantity, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was held at SCI.
