Greenwood man arrested for robbery, assault
MILFORD, Del. – A Greenwood man is behind bars in connection to a robbery that took place earlier this month.
Just before 5 p.m. on May 7th, officers responded to S. Walnut Street, in the area of the Riverwalk, for a reported robbery that had just occurred. Officers met with the victim, who appeared to have suffered an injury to their face. It was learned that the victim was approached by an unknown man who allegedly hit the victim in the head before fleeing with the victim’s property.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where they were treated and released.
Through the course of the investigation, police obtained video surveillance was obtained, which showed the man matching the description of the suspect. Officers located the suspect on May 10th, and he was identified as 21-year-old Hezekiah Dawson.
Dawson was arrested and charged with first degree robbery, hindering prosecution, third degree assault, and disorderly conduct. He was held on a $34,100 cash bail.
