Pair arrested for drug possession following traffic stop in Dover
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested two people on drug charges following a traffic stop Saturday afternoon.
At around 1 p.m., an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the area of East Loockerman Street and South DuPont Highway for committing a traffic violation. Contact was made with the driver, 31-year-old Matthew Moyers, and passenger, 33-year-old Tiffany Pendexter. It was learned that Pendexter had an active capias for her arrest and was subsequently taken into custody. Pendexter was found in possession of drug paraphernalia, and a search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 140.8 grams of methamphetamine.
Moyers and Pendexter were each charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, second degree conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Pendexter was later released on a $6,500 unsecured bail, while Moyers was held at SCI on a $21,500 secured bail.
