Salisbury house fire under investigation

SALISBURY, Md. – Fire marshals are investigating a fire at a Salisbury home last week.

Firefighters responded to the blaze on Tuesday, May 2nd, at 717 Ebenezer Drive. The fire began in the kitchen of the home and was placed under control in less than ten minutes.

Fire marshals were not requested initially, but on Monday, the owner of the property contacted the Office of the State Fire Marshal to request an investigation into the origin and cause of the fire.

Total damage has been estimated at $40,000. Officials say fire alarms were present in the home but failed to activate at the time of the fire.
