Bridgeville man arrested for DUI following traffic stop
BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – A Bridgeville man was arrested for DUI and felony drug charges Sunday afternoon.
Just after 5 p.m., a trooper on patrol stopped a Nissan Murano in the area of Coverdale Road, north of Fisher Circle, after a computer check showed that the registration had been suspended for the car not being insured. On contact with the driver, 44-year-old Kyleef Watts, the trooper smelled burnt marijuana and noticed signs of impairment in Watts. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the recovery of approximately 385.74 grams (over 13.5 ounces) of marijuana.
Watts was charged with multiple drug and traffic charges, as well as DUI. He was later released on his own recognizance.
