Wicomico Co. Schools to end Consistent Attire Program for 2023-2024 school year

WICOMICO CO., Md. – Wicomico County Public Schools officials have announced that they will end the Consistent Attire Program (CAP) next school year.

Currently, eight schools participate in the program, including Beaver Run Elementary, Charles H. Chipman Elementary, Delmar Elementary, North Salisbury Elementary, Pemberton Elementary, Pinehurst Elementary, Prince Street Elementary, and West Salisbury Elementary.

School principals recently offered parents and faculty members a chance to respond to a survey to determine the interest level in continuing or discontinuing the program. Based on these results, CAP clothing will not be required in any Wicomico County School for the 2023-2024 school year. Schools will instead follow the WCPS Dress Code Policy, which will apply to all students.
