Emergency Response Training scheduled for spring in Ocean City
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Emergency Services personnel from the Town of Ocean City and Worcester County have announced that they are teaming up to the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program to residents.
The program will be offered for roughly nine weeks this spring, and will take place at the Ocean City Public Safety Building.
The CERT program educates the community about disaster preparedness for the hazards that could impact their area. The program is structured so that local and state program managers have the flexibility to form their programs in a way that best suits their community. CERT volunteers are trained to respond safely, responsibly, and effectively to emergency situations, but also learn about to support their community during non-emergency events.
To register for the training, contact Amanda Lewis at 410-723-6616 or email alewis@oceancitymd.gov.
