UPDATE: Missing Crisfield teen found
UPDATE: 47 ABC has learned that Elijah Ritchey has been found safely.
47 ABC got a text from a member of the search team who says Elijah was found and he is alive.
His mother, Stevie Ritchey tells 47 ABC, “I’m so appreciative that we are in Crisfield. I don’t think a lot of places would pull together like this, so I’m very appreciative.”
As for the cause, it is still unclear. Facebook posts suggests that he was hiding out but we haven’t gotten any clarification on what that means entirely.

CRISFIELD, Md. – Search teams are actively looking for a 17-year-old boy in the Crisfield area.
Police say Elijah Ritchey has been missing since Sunday morning. He was last seen in the area of his home in the Lauren Court area, near Old State Road.
Ritchie is 5’7″, 120 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and boots.
Over 100 volunteers began their search for Elijah last night, and they have not stopped their search since. They are going door to door and searching the woods behind his house. We’re told it is believed that Ritchey is still in this area because they found his cell phone on the ground.
