Car and train accident sends one person to the hospital

GEORGETOWN, Del. – The Georgetown Fire Company says one person was injured after a car accident involving a train Wednesday evening.

According to the Georgetown Fire Company, the incident happened around 11:17 PM near 23073 Zoar Road.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find a car had been struck by a train causing heavy damage to the car.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
