LEWES, Del. – A Lewes woman was arrested Tuesday morning on felony assault charges.

At around 11 a.m., troopers responded to a residence in the 37000 block of Burton Avenue for a reported trespassing complaint. Troopers met with the 63-year-old homeowner, learning that his acquaintance, 31-year-old Brienna Wildy, had entered his shed without his permission, despite her not being welcome on his property. It was also learned that Wildy had confronted a disabled 57-year-old woman at the shed, allegedly attacking the woman with a wooden board. Wildy continued arguing with the homeowner after the assault.

Troopers located Wildy on foot a short distance away and took her into custody. She was charged with second degree burglary, second degree assault, and aggravated menacing. She was later released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
