Food delivery driver robbed in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a robbery that happened on the unit block of S. New Street Monday night.

Officials say that around 9 PM, a 22-year-old male delivery driver was delivering food in the area, when the customer allegedly paid with a counterfeit $20. When the driver realized it was fake, he approached the suspect, who then pointed a handgun at the driver and demanded his money. The suspect then fled the scene with an unknown amount of money.

The driver was not injured in the incident.

The suspect has been described as a male in his 20s, approximately 5’10”, wearing all dark clothing.
