UMES Men’s Basketball team embraces historic start

UMES is giving away free tickets for home basketball games, next home game is Jan. 28

PRINCESS ANNE — The UMES Hawks are on pace for their first winning record since 2015 and for the first time in 30 years they’re 7-0 at home.
This is a far cry from just a few years ago when the Hawks won less than 7 games on the year.
A lot has changed, the biggest shift being  Coach Jason Crafton taking over the program in 2019 and setting up the foundation for progress even if it takes
a few years to show.

After starting this season off 3-7 it looked like another disappointing season would be heading to the eastern shore but since December 10th, the Hawks have righted the ship.

The Hawk’s next home game against Coppin State is on January 28th. If they win that game they’ll be 8-0 at home for the first time since joining the MEAC.
