Mardela outlasts Washington; top the Jaguars 71-69
Mardela tops Washington
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Mardela Warriors battled Washington and the Jaguars Thursday night in an all Bayside Conference matchup. Washington would hold the 35-31 lead heading into the second half but the Warriors made some defensive adjustments out of the locker room.
Mardela would enter the fourth quarter already in the bonus; which would prove to be the real difference maker.
Knotted at 67-67 with 15 seconds to play; Jarren Smith was sent to the free throw line, knocking down both from the line and all but sealing the victory for the Warriors.
With the win, Mardela improves to 6-6 on the year.
