Today’s Forecast: January 15, 2019

Mostly clear skies are expected tonight with temperatures dropping into the upper teens and lower 20s.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with slightly milder highs in the low to mid 40s. Clouds will increase on Thursday and temperatures will be in the low 40s. Showers will likely arrive after dark and continue off and on through the night. Areas north of Salisbury will have a rain and snow mix with light accumulations possible. The sky will gradually clear on Friday with highs rising into the low 50s

Clouds will move back in throughout the day on Saturday with highs in the upper 40s. Rain will arrive late and continue into the night. A very strong arctic cold front will change the rain to a wintry mix Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will start in the 50s early, and then fall into the 20s by evening. This could create a flash freeze situation as well, meaning anything wet on the ground will quickly freeze, creating hazardous conditions. Stay tuned for more details over the next few days.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be partly sunny, breezy, and much colder with highs only in the 20s and wind chills in the single digits and teens.

Have a great night!
