Shots fired during early morning home invasion in Felton
FELTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion during which shots were fired early Wednesday morning.
We’re told the incident happened shortly before 1 AM, in the 100 block of Gelden Road. On arrival, police made contact with three male victims, aged 20, 29, and 67, and a 44-year-old female.
After speaking with victims, police determined that four to six males kicked open a door to the residence, at least three of which were armed with handguns. While one of the male victims was in a bedroom trying to hold a door shut, one of the suspects fired shots at the door. After learning that police had been contacted, the suspects fled from the residence. One of the suspects allegedly discharged their firearm outside before fleeing.
No injures were reported, and the suspects did not take any property from the home during the incident.
