Ballard Boyz host 2nd annual community Christmas dinner

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – With delicious hot food, warm winter clothes and a special surprise for kids, the Ballard Boyz racing foundation are making sure people in our community are able to have an extra special Christmas.”

One racer, Fred Wheatley said, “It is a blessing to be able to bless others.”

Founder and father to the Ballard brothers, Isaac Ballard said, “It’s really grown tremendously.”

On Saturday, the “boyz” put on their 2nd-annual Christmas dinner to help out the Princess Anne community.

Bobby Ballard, another racer said, “There’s no better way to give back to the community than to get them all together in one spot.”

Dozens of families and community members made their way to the Garland Hayward Center to grab a plate, or two, while kids patiently waited for Santa Claus to pass out some presents from his sleigh.

But the “boyz” tell us it wasn’t just Santa who was working hard this year to make this celebration a success.

Bobby said, “We started preparing for this at the end of the summer, and with so many of us it comes together so easy.”

Fred said, “This is what truly matters. We put a lot of work into giving back to the local community.”

The Ballard Boyz know it takes a village to create an extra special Christmas for those who need it most.

Isaac has a message for the community, “It’s not just about Ballard Boyz racing. It’s about the community. We want people to understand we’re not doing this for us or to put money in our pocket.”

47 ABC is told the “boyz” ultimate goal was simply to make sure that no family gets left behind this holiday season.
