MARION STATION, Md. – A Hebron man has been sentenced to life behind bars plus 40 years on murder charges.

The charges stem from an incident on October 17, 2020, when Maryland State Police were called to a residence on Cornstack Road in Marion Station for multiple gunshot victims. On arrival, troopers found three people suffering from gunshot wounds, and one victim, LaGina Robellard, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect, James Robellard, had traveled from his Hebron home that evening, shot his estranged wife eight times, reloaded a separate magazine in his gun, and shot multiple times at Corey Glover, hitting him twice. After being shot once in the leg, Glover shot James in his abdomen with a shotgun before Glover was shot again by James in the shoulder area. Glover then locked himself inside his bathroom until police and EMS arrived. When police arrived, James was found lying on a couch inside the residence holding a pillow over his shotgun wound and his handgun was nearby.

Earlier this year, Robellard was convicted by a Somerset County jury of first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, and other related charges. He was sentenced on Monday to a total of life plus 40 years.
