Three people arrested on drug and gun charges in Sussex County

SEAFORD, Del. – The Seaford Police Department arrested three people on various drug charges and gun charges on Friday.
According to police, a patrol officer stopped a black Kia Sportage for a registration violation in the parking lot of the Days Inn Hotel in Seaford.
Police say as the officer approached the car, the driver then fled onto Route 13 southbound, running other cars off the roadway.
Officers reportedly gave chase to Middleford Road, and that is when the Kia got in an accident striking several mailboxes.
All of the people inside the car then fled, but the three including 22-year-old Trevor Savage, 22-year-old Montez Lake and a 15-year-old were reportedly caught with the help of a Delaware State Police K-9.
The three people were caught in possession of a large amount of illegal drugs. The following items were discovered:
• 3 grams of crack cocaine
• 9.4 grams of powder cocaine
• 148.7 grams of marijuana
• 5 bags of heroin
• 11.5 tablets of ecstasy
• A stolen 9mm Derringer handgun
• $450 dollars in suspected drug proceeds
The three were charged with disregarding a police officer’s signal, resisting arrest, tapering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana with an aggravating factor and more.
