Worcester Co.’s Child Advocacy Center raises funds for facility dog
WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – Worcester County’s Child Advocacy Center needs your help to bail out their facility dog Josiah.
Jailbird Josiah is all locked up, but if they raise $2,000, he’ll be freed.
The fundraiser will help The CRICKET Center take care of Josiah since it costs them roughly $5 a day for things like food and the vet.
The CRICKET Center has had Josiah since May and he responds to over 40 advanced commands to help abused children.
The Executive Director, Wendy Myers says, “He is sort of like that little shining light that they can think of as a positive way that came out of a really tough experience for their families. Whether they’ve been coming in for forensic interviews or therapy, he has certainly has made a big difference in our kids, our family, and also for our staff.”
This is a completely separate fundraiser from any other funds you donate to the center because they say they never use funds allocated for child victims services toward the care of Josiah.
If you want to donate you can click here or drop off donations at their facility. They are fundraising until Sunday.
