Salisbury creates “Letters to Santa” mailbox for the holidays

SALISBURY, Md. – In the spirit of the holiday season, Salisbury is helping out Santa this year.

With Christmas less than one month away, Santa’s little helpers have placed a mailbox downtown so you can send your letters straight to the North Pole.

The mailbox is located at the Salisbury Visitor Center on North Division Street. Santa’s helpers say once you drop off your letter, make sure you put the flag up so they know when to grab it.

This is the first time the city is doing this and they believe it’s a great way to get the community involved. Amy Zaprowski, from the Salisbury Visitor Center says, “Our hopes was to bring people down here that wouldn’t necessarily come down, get them downtown, get them engaged, show them what we have to offer and just to be festive for the holidays.”

For parents, you should follow the directions on the USPS website using the “Letters to Santa” to properly send the letter.
