UPDATE: Delaware State Police arrest wanted Laurel man

UPDATE: Hastings was located on Tuesday in the 36000 block of Bi State Boulevard in Delmar and was taken into custody without incident.

Hastings was charged with second degree burglary, third degree burglary, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft (felony), attempted to commit theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft by false pretense, two counts of falsifying business reconrds, two counts of selling stolen property, two counts of criminal mischief, leave, deposit or dispose of trash, and two counts of criminal trespass third degree.

He was arraigned and released on $29,350 unsecured bond.


DELMAR, Del. – Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 43-year-old Ronald T. Hastings, who is wanted in connection with burglary and theft of motor vehicle charges.

Police say the incidents occurred on November 21st, when troopers were called to respond to the 83000 block of Woodland Ferry Road for a reported suspicious vehicle complaint. On arrival, troopers learned that a subject had removed a disabled van from the property by towing it with their vehicle.

A similar incident was also reported on the same day, at a residence in the 36000 block of Susan Beach Road, where a suspect removed a disabled vehicle from the property. The suspect reportedly claimed to be the owner of the vehicles and sold them to scrap yards.

Hastings currently has active warrants out for two counts of burglary, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, and multiple related charges. Troopers say he may be driving a 1999 Red Ford F150, with DE registration C66841.
