Dover man arrested in connection to fatal stabbing
DOVER, Del. – A Dover man is behind bars on murder charges following a stabbing early Wednesday morning.
At around 4:10 a.m., Delaware State Police troopers responded to the Planter’s Run apartment complex for a reported stabbing. On arrival, troopers met with the 33-year-old male victim in a vehicle in the parking lot, suffering from stab wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Further investigation revealed that the victim had been in a dispute in the parking lot with another subject, later identified as 33-year-old Robert Webb-Asare. During the confrontation, Webb-Asare reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim before fleeing into a residence.
Webb-Asare was later located by troopers and charged with first degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. He is being held at SCI on a $1.06 million cash bond.
