‘Golden Voice’ competition searching for next local singing sensation

SALISBURY, Md.-  Watch out American Idol,  as one local non-profit is searching for Salisbury’s next singing sensation with the Golden Voice competition.

SAJ Global Inc.  started the competition back in 2019, but due to COVID-19 it was put on hold.

Now, it’s back for it’s second season with singers ages 13 to 35 competing for the title.

The non-profit tells 47ABC, there’s so much hidden talent on the shore that goes unnoticed but hopes this competition will give them the golden ticket for a brighter future. “It’s not because we don’t have people that can sing, but it’s because they don’t have the opportunity to show what they can do,” SAJ Global Inc. President Shadrach Charles said.

“It’s been amazing how many young talents that have been here and just hidden because they never had the opportunity to showcase their talent and their voice.”

If you were interested in showcasing your talents, it’s too late for this season as the finale is set for September 4th at Halloway Hall at Salisbury University.

This year’s winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and the opportunity to record their first single.

Tickets are available for purchase and you can get more details on the competition and when your next chance will be to audition here
