Ocean City Police bust illegal gun sale

Ocean City Police say they arrested four suspects on Tuesday night after undercover detectives arranged a meeting with a man selling a gun illegally.
An investigation by OCPD and the Worcester County Sheriff's Criminal Enforcement Team stemming from a stolen revolver led detectives to initiate a meeting with Bennett T. McNeil III, 26, of Ocean City by posing as interested gun buyers.
Police arrested McNeil as soon as he showed up at the meeting place near Sunset Drive and Philadelphia Avenue. Three other people in the car with McNeil were also arrested.
McNeil and Arno Arndt, 57, of Snow Hill, are both charged with multiple illegal firearm charges. Patricia Miller, 52, of Bishopville, and Jenna Vermillion, 24, of Ocean City are both charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia.
Maryland State Police and the Ocean Pines Police Department were also able to link the suspects to a series of vehicle thefts in the Ocean City and Ocean Pines areas.
All were sent to the Worcester County Jail. McNeil is being held on a $50,000 bond, Vermillion a $40,000 bond, Arndt a $25,000 bond and Miller a bond of $7,500.
