Pemberton Elementary honors our heroes with Veterans Day Celebration

SALISBURY, Md. – Pemberton Elementary School honored our military servicemen and women on Friday.

Students, staff, family and friends, and veterans all came together to honor the lives of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Mayor Jake Day, the Salisbury University ROTC program, and Pemberton Elementary school’s 4th and 5th grade choir paid tribute.

Students in the choir even made special thank you pins which they handed out after the performance for veterans and active servicemen and women who attended the event.

Army veteran Chad Crocket said, “It’s an honor to be with my daughter. She’s out here putting on a good performance for the veterans. It means a lot to me. I’ve spent a lot of time away from my daughter so it’s good to be able to see her put on performances like this.”

If you missed Friday’s event, Mayor Jake Day says don’t worry.

There are plenty of events happening all weekend long to honor our veterans in Salisbury.
