Monday Memo – December 12, 2016

MONDAY MEMO

TO:   ALL STAFF

FROM:  KATHLEEN

DATE:   12 DECEMBER 2016

MEET MATTHEW KUBISIAK

Matthew joined our News Team today as our Web Producer.  He has basic newsroom experience, having worked as a Stringer/Reporter, Film Technician and News Department Intern.  Matthew holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from University of Maryland in College Park as well as a BA in Film Studies.  He brings with him a wide range of applicable skills including basic HTML and CSS, experience with AP ENPS, and experience in use of social media in newsgathering and reporting.  Please join me in welcoming him to our Team.

TO YOUR HEALTH IN THE NEW YEAR!

  • We will once again be able to offer employees and their immediate families no charge basic memberships to the YMCA in first calendar quarter 2017.  If you are already a member, just check out the list on the bulletin board across from the time clock to be sure your membership information (family, single, etc.) in correct.  If it is correct, just initial.  If you have not been a member of the “Y” and improved health and fitness is something that is part of your New Year’s Resolutions, just add your name.  You can check out what is available in a basic membership on the YMCA’s website.  Further questions?  See Media Specialist Linda DiGrazio in the Sales Department.  She is usually in the building.

WE ARE OVER RUN WITH POSTER ART

  • We have a ton of network posters and would like to find a good home for them with anybody who wants them.  They will be in the Conference Room on the table until Wednesday.  After that, they go in the trash.  If you think you might be interested, please stop down and help yourself.  The Conference Room will not be in use all day Monday so that would be a perfect time to stop down and collect your posters.  The Conference Room will be tied up from 3:30 – 5 on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 9-10 and 2-3.  All other times are open.

STATION FREEBIES!

  • Last week’s winner of the Crime Watch Daily Flashlight was Elaine Haggerty.  This week, we will again give away a Crime Watch Daily Flashlight/Gadget.  You can sign up for your chance to win on the bulletin board across from the time clock.  Per usual procedure, we will draw for a winner Friday morning and the announcement made in the next Monday Memo.  After Friday, we will hiatus Station Freebies until following the Holidays.
