SHA gives out visibility vests for Halloween
SALISBURY, Md. – The weather looks like it will be great for Halloween, but it’s important to remember that it does get dark early. That means hundreds of kids will be out trick or treating in local neighborhoods at night.
And we say all that to remind everyone along with Maryland SHA that reflective gear for kids and parents who plan to walk in the road are never a bad idea.
“It helps the driver, it helps the kids, the parent. We wished that everybody would cross at a crosswalk ,but that doesn’t happen all the time. We wish people would go to a lighted intersection to cross but that a;so doesn’t work all the time so the vest makes everybody more visible,” Sidney Johnson, SHA resident maintenance engineer for Wicomico County.
SHA will be handing out vests for adults and children until 4 pm Wednesday, all you have to do is stop by the SHA shop at 660 west road in Salisbury to pick it up.
