Assault leads to charges for Laurel woman

MILLSBORO, Del. – A Laurel woman has been charged following an assault that took place Friday evening.

According to police, at around 7:45 p.m., troopers responded to the Cadia Healthcare Renaissance Nursing Home in Millsboro for a reported assault. It was learned through further investigation that the suspect, 52-year-old Tracy Hurley, had gotten involved in a confrontation with a 41-year-old female coworker in the parking lot. During the altercation, Hurley reportedly physically assaulted the victim, who was later treated at an area hospital for significant injuries.

Hurley turned herself into police and was charged with second degree assault. She was later released on her own recognizance.
