UPDATE: Body found in Worcester County early Wednesday morning, victim identified
BERLIN, Md. – Maryland State Police are still investigating after a body was found in Worcester County early Wednesday morning.
According to the report at around 12:15 AM, two people were traveling in a boat along Herring Creek when they came across the body of a male floating face down under the Herring Creek Bridge. Police say the boaters brought the body to shore and called 911.
The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Ronald Jones Jr., who was declared dead at the scene. The preliminary investigation shows no sign of foul play, although the investigation is still ongoing, and the body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
The incident remains under investigation.
