Bennett soccer reigns supreme in Bayside championship games
SNOW HILL, Md.- For the second year in a row, it was James M. Bennett vs. Kent Island in both the Bayside boys and girls soccer championship.
Last year, Bennett boys brought home the crown, and Kent Island girls were champs.
This year, half of that changed.
The Clipper boys are going back-to-back in a thrilling overtime win over the Bucs, which saw junior Colin Hoffman net the golden goal. It was his second game-winner in as many games.
The JMB girls avenged their 2017 championship loss to Kent Island with the win on Tuesday, by the same score as the boys, 1-0. Olivia Owens put home the lone goal of the match in the 37th-minute on a right-footed strike that found side netting.
